Four OLC wrestlers qualify for States
Congratulations to 3rd grader Andrew Stark and 6th graders Drew Miller and Brandon Sauers on advancing to the Pennsylvania Junior Olympic State Tournament after wins at the Area VII Tournament in Corry on Saturday. Andrew took first place in his age/weight class, earning his third trip to the state tournament. Drew and Brandon each took second place in their respective age/weight brackets. All three Raider wrestlers, their families and coaches will travel to Wilkes-Barre Thursday through Saturday for the state tournament.
Also headed for Wilkes-Barre is Alex Root, an OLC eighth-grader who wrestles for McDowell. Alex took second place in the Area Tournament.
A big pat on the back goes to Ryan Sweny, who took 3rd place at Areas, Darris Johnson, Shaun Sweny, and Evan Vincent who also competed at the Area VIII Tournament this weekend. All worked very hard to advance to Areas and States! GO RAIDERS!!
