Collection this week for Warming Center
Jackets, blankets, sweats, personal hygiene items and more--all are needed at Erie\'s Warming Center, OLC is collecting items for the center all this week.
The Warming Center, an outreach effort of the Mental Health Association, provides refuge of last resort on sub-freezing nights. Our friends and neighbors are welcomed in from the cold when they have no where else to turn. In addition to jackets and blankets, guests at the center are in need of:
- Chapstick
- Razors
- Soap/shampoo
- Deodorant
- Toothpaste/toothbrush
- Towels
- Gloves/scarves
- Socks
- Sweat pants
- Underwear
- Plain t-shirts
Saint Jude Parish collected items this past weekend, and parishioners donated a tremendous amount of much-needed supplies. The school collection will help ensure people in need have some of the basic items necessary for warmth and comfort.
