Our Lady's Christian School

February 22

From the Principal

“The Lord will overshadow you, and you will find refuge under his wings.” Ps 91:4

If you want to become an expert on prayer, there are more than 400,000 books on prayer. Jesus, however, covered the main points in a few short verses. Pray to know your heavenly Father, his will, his provision, his forgiveness, his deliverance, and his protection. At the top was “Thy kingdom come.” Jesus taught us to ask the Father that his heavenly kingdom be extended to our earthly lives and to experience the blessings of his kingdom in our everyday lives. The kingdom of God is meant for us. It becomes visible when we care for others. -- The WORD Among Us – pg. 32

Calling all volunteers: help needed for Legacy Gala

The Legacy Gala is the major fundraising event for our school. Your help is greatly needed to make this a success. Volunteers are needed for donations, organizing, clerical support and more. Let’s all work together to make this the best Gala to date! Click here for more information and a volunteer form.

We are inviting each grade to put together a Theme Basket. If you have an item that would apply to a basket other than the one assigned to your child’s grade, please send that item in too! Click here for a list of each grade’s basket theme.

If you would like to make a monetary donation instead of an item, please send your money to the school office, attention Joy Stempora or Lisa Keating. We hope to receive enough donations to purchase an electronic item such as an electronic book reader (Kindle or Nook), or iTouch or iPod. If we don’t receive enough for a big item, donations will be used to help complete the baskets.

Any questions, please contact Lisa Keating, 833-1468 or Joy Stempora, 454-3242.
