February 16
From the Principal
“He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces.” Isaiah 25:8
Ash Wednesday is this Wednesday. Please join us for our Liturgy at 9:15. Story and Play Time will be this Friday, February 19th. We will have a Science Show next Tuesday, February 23rd from 1:45 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. in the gym.
The teachers attended a Spiritual Journey In-Service last Friday. The topic was Liturgy and Sacraments led by Fr. Brooks. It was very uplifting to discuss the liturgy and sacraments. The symbols we use and the rituals we do make our relationship with God real. They have meaning to us. We discussed some rituals we remembered as a child. A couple of these were eating together and praying at night before bed. I remember as a child all six of us kneeling in front of the cross to say our prayers before bedtime. The teachers commented that many of the students tell them that they pray before bed. Remember this will have a lasting effect on your child/children.
We also discussed the changes in the Roman Missal which will go into place next year. Click here for more information..
Have a great week!
--Mrs. Landenberger
