Technology

TeacherYears Teaching
Mrs. Teresa Corso18

Education: Bachelor of Science in French; Master of Science, Secondary Education from Northeast Missouri State University (now Truman University).

"I have taught various age ranges and subjects, but the diversity of this job in age range and subject topics is to my liking. As my sons get older, I miss having that small child's enthusiasm for the simplest of items, but I also can relate to the middle school students because of my teaching that age for several years and my sons being of that age. Computers is a subject that has something new to learn everyday, and I like that challenge."

Art

TeacherYears Teaching
Mrs. Karen Eggleston28

Education: Bachelor of Science, Art Education, Edinboro University of Pennsylvania; Ursuline College, Gannon University

"Students like my class because: _“It is a new adventure every time they enter the art room. They are excited to use all the materials the art room has to offer. Students over the years find that each one is capable of having a creative spirit in an environment where they are nurtured and exposed to art in their everyday lives.”

Music

TeacherYears Teaching
Pamela Verity29

Education: Bachelor of Arts, Music Education, Gannon University; Bachelor of Arts, English Literature, Mercyhurst College; Choral Directing Certificate, St. Olaf College; Liturgical Music Certificate, St. Mary’s College

"The best thing about teaching is enabling young singers and players (even ones who think they are not musical) to gain confidence and self-esteem by performing, planning liturgies, working together in creative venues to discover the music within themselves: whether in notes or poetry, or form, or integrated activities. I choose to teach in a Catholic school because: _”Liturgy is very important to me, as is the assumption that all things we do flow from, through, and to God.”

Mandarin

TeacherYears Teaching
Eden Chen2

Education: Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance, National Chung Chen University in Taiwan. Master of Arts in Teaching English as a Second Language, Penn State University.

"Students like my class because I make language learning fun and interesting! I believe language learning can be fun and I also believe language learning happens when students can really use that language. Therefore, I always try to integrate various kinds of activities into my teaching, such as games, group competition and singing, to help my students learning and also keep them motivated."

Library

TeacherYears Teaching
Mrs. Sherry Sweny11

Education: Bachelor of Arts, Elementary Education, Mercyhurst College.

"The best thinng about being a librarian is that I get to see each class in the school. I am able to expose young minds to all different kinds of literature and do fun, hands-on activities that make reading more exciting."

Physical Education

TeacherYears Teaching
Mrs. Kim Hill31

Education: Bachelor of Science, Physical Education, Penn State; Master of Science, Physical Education, University of Michigan.

"The best thing about teaching physical education is seeing the students learn skills that will stay with them throughout life and hopefully help them stay fit and strong. It is important to me to teach at a Catholic school, because God is the basis for all good things! I believe that our strength comes from God, and it is a gift to teach in a faith based school."
