Gift Opportunities
Our Lady's Christian School Fund
This fund is the cornerstone of giving to Our Lady's Christian School. It is comprised of unrestricted giving from all sources to support school programs and activities. Teacher salaries, tuition assistance, library books, technology and building maintenance are all funded under this umbrella. A thriving School Fund helps keep tuition affordable for our school families.
Endowment Fund
Endowment Funds ensure the future of OLC. Specified gifts can be restricted to teacher salaries, scholarship support or new program development.
Memorial Gifts
A gift in memory of a loved one can be a wonderful way to give to OLC. A memorial gift can be made in the love one’s name to the School Fund and may be restricted or unrestricted.
Gifts in Kind
Non-cash gifts of property such as computers, art equipment, scientific equipment, books, etc. allow the donor a tax deduction while providing valuable resources for our students. A formal appraisal is requested by the IRS for gifts valued over $5,000.
Capital Campaign
A capital campaign would raise funds for school renovations, additions or updates to either the interior or exterior of the building. Such a campaign be approved by the School Board.
Memorial and Special Books
A book is a meaningful way to remember special people in our lives.
The donor requesting a memorial book may submit the loved one’s name and a list of his or her interests, along with the amount they wish to donate. A book approved by the school’s librarian will be chosen and ordered. A memorial card will be sent to the deceased’s family, and a memorial bookplate will be placed in the front of the book. The gift will be recognized in OLC’s quarterly newsletter, The Journey.
If you are looking for a meaningful birthday present, you can give a book to the OLC library in honor of a child, grandchild or friend on their birthday. Notify the school in advance of the child’s birthday, designate the amount you wish to spend, and an appropriate book will be chosen and ordered.
When the book arrives, a bookplate will be placed in the front of the book with the child’s name or name of the person being honored. The child or honored individual will be the first one to take the book home to read. The gift will be acknowledged in OLC’s quarterly newsletter, The Journey.
Donations of gently used books are greatly appreciated in both the preschool and elementary school.
